A snippet from the television series ‘The World’s Dumbest Criminals’ proved eerily prophetic after a man stole clothes from a neighbor and wore them the very next day.
Court records indicate that Romeo Rusare (28) stole Wilson Milazi (20) clothes on 5 June 2025 in the dead of the night.
“Milazi left his laundry including two track bottoms, two jackets and one short hanging on the washing line before he went to bed,” said NPA.
Thief Arrested After Victim Spots Him Wearing Stolen Laundry
The following morning Milazi woke up to find an empty washing line.
“Later that morning, he spotted the offender brazenly wearing one of the stolen brown track bottoms near the Salvation Army Church.
“He immediately alerted authorities, leading to the offender’s arrest.
“The total value of the stolen items was USD 85, but only USD 15 worth was recovered,” said NPA.
The offender was sentenced to four months imprisonment.
