Epworth North Member of Parliament Honourable Zivai Mhetu has outlined a series of ongoing and planned development initiatives aimed at improving living standards and infrastructure in the constituency.
Speaking on the progress so far, Hon. Mhetu said the projects are being driven through Constituency Development Funds (CDF) and other strategic interventions.
“We are working on our roads in Epworth using CDF funds, electrifying schools, and speeding up the process of providing property titles to residents,” he said.
One of the key priorities is enhancing access to clean water. Hon. Mhetu emphasised that efforts are underway to push for piped water infrastructure, ensuring that residents have reliable and safe drinking water. “We are pushing for piped water infrastructure to replace the unsafe and unreliable sources many residents have had to depend on,” he added.
The electrification of schools is expected to improve the quality of education by enabling the use of modern teaching tools and technology, while road rehabilitation will enhance mobility, accessibility, and economic activity in the area.
On the land tenure front, the acceleration of the property titling process is set to bring security of tenure to residents, unlocking opportunities for investment and housing improvements.
“These developments are part of a broader plan to modernise Epworth and uplift the community,” Hon. Mhetu said, pledging continued commitment to sustainable growth and better service delivery.
