Rihanna confirmed she’s expecting her third child while attending the 2025 Met Gala. The 37-year-old singer, who shares sons RZA and Riot with rapper A$AP Rocky, revealed her pregnancy with a baby bump debut on the event’s iconic floral carpet, shortly after a portrait by photographer Miles Diggs hinted at the news.
Arriving fashionably late to the Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, Rihanna wore a striking ensemble by Marc Jacobs — a grey bustier paired with a long black skirt — fitting this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
Though Rihanna made her entrance after the floral carpet portion had ended, A$AP Rocky, one of the evening’s co-chairs, arrived earlier.
He was congratulated by several reporters after the pregnancy news broke and responded with, “It is time to just show the people what we were cooking up,” adding, “Thank you, thank you, thank you. I’m glad everybody’s happy for us because we’re definitely happy.”
Rocky donned a self-designed navy suit and Christian Louboutin shoes for the event, held on the midnight blue carpet.
This isn’t the first time Rihanna has chosen a global stage to reveal her pregnancy. She previously unveiled her second pregnancy during her 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance.
In a February 2023 interview with British Vogue, Rihanna spoke about how parenthood had transformed their lives, stating that the arrival of their first son, RZA, brought them even closer.

“We’re best friends with a baby,” she said. “We have to be on the same page, but we’ve always kind of had that in our relationship.
Everything changes when you have a baby, but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything but made us closer.”
