Zimbabwe’s premier women-only lifestyle event, Girlfest Zimbabwe, is set to return this weekend with a renewed focus on elegance, empowerment, and experiential luxury. The festival, scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Old Hararians Sports Club in Harare, is expected to draw a crowd of over 7,500 women from across the country.

Now in its fifth edition, Girlfest has established itself as a standout on the local events calendar, offering a safe, inclusive space where women gather to unwind, connect, and celebrate community.

This year’s edition will be held under the theme “Old Money Casual Summer” — a nod to classic sophistication paired with relaxed, modern luxury.

This year, Girlfest has secured strategic partnerships with Brutal Fruit and Old Mutual, bringing added value and experience to attendees.

Brutal Fruit, known for targeting stylish, confident women across Africa, will headline the beverage experience, reinforcing the festival’s “soft life” message — a celebration of leisure, self-care, and enjoyment.

Old Mutual’s involvement adds a financial empowerment dimension to the event, aligning with the festival’s growing reputation as a platform for women’s development beyond lifestyle.

> “Girlfest is not just a party. It’s a sanctuary for women — a place to recharge, connect, and bloom,” said the event organizers in a statement.

The event promises a multi-sensory experience that blends music, art, food, and positive energy. The entertainment lineup features a mix of top local and regional acts, including:

Djs attending the event include DJ Mimi, DJ Pretty Gangsta, DJ KingHer and
Quonfuzed, Chillmaster, Kae Chaps, Tamy Moyo, ExQ, and South Africa’s Black Diamond will be performing on the day.

One of the most anticipated segments is the “5 Minutes of Madness”, featuring viral TikTok sensations Dexta and Dad from Uganda, the father-son duo famous for their synchronized dance performances.

Beyond music, festival-goers will have access to curated experiences such as Sip & Paint, a Hugging Booth, and Affirmation Activations, designed to foster emotional wellness and self-love. Artisanal food vendors, premium ciders, and sparkling drinks will round out the lifestyle offering.

With a primary audience of young, urban women aged 18 and above, Girlfest is also positioning itself as a key marketing platform. The event draws professionals, entrepreneurs, and influencers from Harare, Bulawayo, Gweru, and beyond — offering significant brand visibility and high social media engagement.
