Scottland Receive Boost as Billiat Returns for CAPS United Clash
Premier Soccer League (PSL) newcomers Scottland have been handed a major boost ahead of their crucial encounter against CAPS United at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday, with star forward Khama Billiat returning to full training earlier this week.
Billiat missed Scottland’s opening match of the season—a 1-0 victory over fellow promoted side Triangle—after picking up a knock during pre-season. However, the former Warriors attacker has since recovered and rejoined full training with the first-team squad on Tuesday, making him available for selection.
This will be Billiat’s first opportunity to face CAPS United since returning to Zimbabwean football last season with Yadah. He missed both encounters against the Green Machine due to injury and suspension.
Despite boasting several high-profile signings, Scottland struggled in their season opener, securing a narrow win courtesy of an own goal by a Triangle defender.

Head coach Tonderai Ndiraya acknowledged that his squad is still in the process of building chemistry and emphasized the need for patience.
“We always knew it was going to be difficult. Even with a squad full of stars, football is a process. You can sign the best players, but they need time to gel and understand each other,” Ndiraya said.
“Right now, we are not a complete team yet, but with more games, we will improve.”
As Scottland continues to integrate its new signings, the return of Billiat could provide the spark needed for a stronger performance against CAPS United.
