Attacking midfielder Tafadzwa Dhliwayo, currently based in the United Arab Emirates, has expressed his ambition to don the Zimbabwe Warriors jersey and represent his homeland at the senior international level.
The 25-year-old, who plays for Dibba FC in the UAE Pro League, shared his hopes, saying, “I just hope one day I will represent my country.”

Dhliwayo made the move to Dibba at the age of 19 following an impressive stint with Indlovu Iyanyathela in the ZIFA Southern Region Soccer League. He’s presently in Zimbabwe undergoing pre-season preparations after recovering from a foot injury that sidelined him for much of the previous season.
A former student of Gifford High School, Dhliwayo first gained international attention in 2016 when he was named the Most Valuable Player at the Copa Coca-Cola global camp in France. His standout performance caught the eye of PSG academy coach Didier Manila, who highlighted Dhliwayo’s exceptional dribbling and movement off the ball. Former Barcelona captain Xavi Hernandez also recognized his talent, awarding him the tournament’s Golden Trophy for his MVP showing.

Originally from Makokoba in Bulawayo, Dhliwayo developed his skills at Real Stars Academy, located in his hometown. Known for his tactical awareness and adaptability, he thrives in both attacking and defensive midfield roles.
