NetOne CEO Eng. Raphael Mushanawani Inducted into 2026 Business Hall of Fame

HARARE, ZIMBABWE – Eng. Raphael Mushanawani, the distinguished Chief Executive Officer of NetOne, was formally inducted into the prestigious 2026 Business Hall of Fame during a ceremony held last night. This significant honor recognizes his exemplary leadership and profound contributions to the advancement of Zimbabwe’s telecommunications sector.

In addition to his pivotal role at NetOne, Eng. Mushanawani is also a respected member of the Zimpapers board, further highlighting his extensive influence within the nation’s business landscape.

The induction ceremony, meticulously organized by The Champions Africa, served as a vibrant platform to celebrate outstanding business leaders from both established corporate entities and dynamic small-to-medium enterprises. The event underscored their remarkable achievements in strategic management, innovative practices, and the cultivation of organizational growth.

During his acceptance speech, a visibly moved Eng. Mushanawani humbly dedicated the esteemed accolade to his dedicated team at NetOne. He emphasized that the collective effort and unwavering commitment to performance from his colleagues were the bedrock of this recognition.

“This accomplishment would not have been possible without the incredible team I have the privilege to work with,” stated Eng. Mushanawani. “It is a diverse group, yet our shared pursuit of success binds us together. I am profoundly grateful for their unwavering support and dedication.”

The 2026 Business Hall of Fame class also featured a distinguished cohort of executives representing various sectors of Zimbabwe’s corporate sphere. Prominent inductees included Dr. Shepherd Fungura of ZB Holdings, Dr. Dexter Savadye from the National Biotechnology Authority of Zimbabwe, and Mr. Justin Machibaya, who leads the Homelux Group.

Further honorees recognized for their significant impact included Mr. Glen Peters of KDV Bedding, Mr. Wilfred Matukeni from the National Oil Infrastructure Company (NOIC), Mr. Moses Kurenjekwa of Ecobank Zimbabwe, and Mr. Luxon Zembe of CBZ Holdings.

Complementing the recognition of established leaders, the ceremony also celebrated emerging business talents through the Young Champions Awards category.

Among these promising honourees were Mr. Tinashe Manzungu, President of the Zimbabwe Building Contractors Association (ZBCA); Mr. Aaron Kumanja of Realtor Ville Group; and Ms. Nennice Chinhara from Glow Petroleum. Their recognition highlights the vibrant future of business leadership in Zimbabwe.
