Dynamos Boost Survival Hopes with Third Straight Win
Dynamos midfielder Denver Mukamba is set to miss Saturday’s Chibuku Super Cup final against Triangle United at Gibbo Stadium after failing to attend training all week.
Head coach Kelvin Kaindu confirmed during a Thursday press briefing that Mukamba had not reported for duty.
The 32-year-old appears to be sliding back into the off-field issues that have affected his career at various clubs in the past.
Despite mostly coming off the bench this season, Mukamba has been a key figure in Dynamos’ fight to avoid relegation.
His absence comes at a time when he is being heavily linked with a move to newly crowned champions Scottland FC.
This follows comments made three weeks ago by club owner Scott Sakupwanya, who openly expressed interest in reuniting with the midfielder.
Just two months ago, Sakupwanya gifted Mukamba a car and US$1,000 after he produced a standout performance for Dynamos in a match against Scottland FC.
