HARARE – Zimbabwe’s intelligence leadership has issued a strong warning following reports of increasing attacks on Zimbabwean nationals living in South Africa.
Hon Owen Ncube, Central intelligence Boss, cautioned against targeting Zimbabweans, stating, “Do not mistake our silence for weakness we are watching. Do not provoke us.”
His remarks have drawn attention across the region amid rising tensions.
Sources indicate that authorities in Harare are closely monitoring incidents of xenophobic violence affecting Zimbabwean migrants in parts of South Africa.
The warning is seen as a signal that the government is becoming increasingly concerned about the safety of its citizens abroad.
