Former Finance Minister Ignatius Chombo Dismisses Death Rumours
Former Finance Minister Ignatius Chombo is alive and well, contrary to rumours circulating on social media claiming he had passed away.
Speaking to the press, his ex-wife and Mashonaland West Provincial Affairs Minister, Marian Chombo, firmly denied the reports, which alleged that Chombo had succumbed to prostate cancer at a private hospital in Harare.
“He is alive and kicking. He’s at home,” she said, putting an end to the false claims that had spread online earlier today.
The viral misinformation sparked concern before being officially refuted by close family sources.
