Hwange Woman Jailed After Brutal Attack on Husband and Neighbour

In a dramatic twist in a case of infidelity, a Hwange man will rue the day he confronted his wife over messages on her phone and was beaten severely and had boiling water poured on his body.

NPA said,” She slapped him, grabbed his private parts, dragged him into the kitchen and poured boiling water on his lower body, causing serious injuries.

“He was taken to hospital for treatment and a report was filed with the police.

“A concerned neighbour who attempted to intervene was also burnt with boiling water on her chest and she was also hospitalised.”

She appeared before a Hwange Magistrates Court on one count of domestic violence and another of assault following a violent incident that occured on 2 June 2025.

She was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment for domestic violence, 24 months imprisonment for for assault of which 12 months was suspended for five years on condition of good behaviour and the remaining 24 months suspended on condition she performs 630 hours of community service.
