Minister Garwe Urges Unity as Manyame RDC Commissions Critical Equipment

The Minister of Local Government and Public Works, Hon. Daniel Garwe, has urged communities to remain united to ensure the country’s development to attain the country national vision 2030.

Hon. Garwe made the call during the commissioning of various equipment and projects implemented by Manyame Rural District Council, including Bwoni Clinic in Dema, a fire tender, and 27 motorbikes yesterday.

“Let us strive to attain the thrust of Vision 2030 by providing necessary public services to our citizenry, and our gathering bears witness to the effort by Manyame RDC towards this noble cause,” he said.

Bwoni Clinic was funded through council, devolution, and CDF funds, as well as community donations, to improve health services under Manyame RDC’s jurisdiction.

The newly commissioned equipment is set to improve the RDC’s ability to deliver key public services, such as emergency response, and boost its operational capacity.

Manyame RDC received the fire tender through the Government Belarus Bilateral Agreement program, funded through devolution.

Hon. Garwe reaffirmed the government’s commitment to devolved governance and community empowerment, stating that the commissioning of the equipment was a deliberate move to capacitate local authorities and ensure development is driven from the grassroots.

“What we are witnessing today is a practical demonstration of President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030—a vision that places communities at the heart of national development.”

The Minister applauded Manyame RDC leadership for their dedication to service delivery and urged them to ensure the equipment is used effectively and maintained properly. Hon. Ndudzo, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution in Mashonaland East, commended Minister Garwe for championing developmental initiatives.

Hon Ndudzo was speaking in a speech read on his behalf by Mr Dzukwa, a director in his office.
