Dube Joins Hardrock FC

Hardrock FC has bolstered its Premier Soccer League title aspirations by securing the services of Zimbabwean international Prince Dube.

The 28-year-old forward was officially presented at Chahwanda Stadium on Thursday, merely a week after playing a pivotal role in Simba SC’s Tanzanian league championship victory.

Currently, Hardrock trails league leaders Scottland FC by five points, though they possess a game in hand. Dube is anticipated to significantly strengthen an offensive line that has largely depended on Washington Navaya since the departure of Zambian striker Andrew Phiri last month.

Dube’s professional journey commenced with Highlanders FC, followed by a move to Azam FC. He subsequently played for SuperSport United FC before joining Simba SC, where he clinched the Tanzanian championship.

Coach Kelvin Kaindu continues to reinforce his squad in preparation for the latter half of the season.

The club has also acquired defender Mcdonald Rameck from Malawian club Silver Strikers FC. Additionally, Zimbabwean international center-back Gerald Takwara has joined as a free agent, having previously played in Saudi Arabia, Libya, and Mozambique.

It remained uncertain whether Dube, Rameck, and Takwara had finalized all registration procedures in time to participate in Sunday’s eagerly awaited Premier Soccer League match against CAPS United FC at Chahwanda Stadium.

Meanwhile, CAPS United has also fortified its team, announcing the signing of seasoned former Zimbabwean international goalkeeper Washington Arubi, as they aim to enhance their defensive capabilities for the remainder of the season.
