PP4P takes professional dialogue to Matabeleland South

The Presidential Programme for Professionals (PP4P) is extending its outreach campaign to Matabeleland South as it seeks to connect young professionals and students with conversations on skills, innovation and Zimbabwe’s development agenda.

PP4P national chairman Kudzai Ngirazi is scheduled to appear on Ntepe-Manama Community Radio’s Bambanani programme on Wednesday, 9 September 2026. The interview will be broadcast from 3pm to 3.30pm on 97.0 FM, according to a publicity poster issued by the programme.

The broadcast is part of PP4P’s 2026 Public Lecture Series, which is being taken to universities, colleges and polytechnics across the country. The initiative is being conducted under the theme, “Building a sustainable future: Professionals contributing to Vision 2030.”

PP4P describes itself as a platform for bringing together professionals, government, industry and institutions of higher learning to support national development. Its stated priorities include professional networking, mentorship, skills transfer, innovation, research and collaboration between the public and private sectors.

The organisation’s decision to use Ntepe-Manama Community Radio gives the campaign a community-based dimension. The station was established to improve access to information in Manama and surrounding areas, including by broadcasting in SeSotho and providing a platform for residents to discuss issues affecting their communities.

The Matabeleland South engagement also places PP4P’s message within a wider debate about the role of tertiary institutions in Zimbabwe’s economic development. At its 2026 Annual Stakeholder Convention, the organisation called on universities, colleges and polytechnics to contribute more actively to research, innovation and the development of practical solutions for industry and communities.

For emerging professionals, the lecture series is intended to provide a link between academic training and national development opportunities. PP4P says it wants to support mentorship, professional growth and the participation of talent from across the country, rather than limiting engagement to major urban centres.

The programme’s national expansion will nevertheless be judged by the opportunities it creates beyond public lectures, including access to mentorship, industry partnerships, innovation support and avenues for young professionals to contribute to policy and development initiatives.
