Dynamos are set to begin their 2025 Chibuku Super Cup journey with a preliminary round clash against Yadah on Wednesday, 6 August, at Ngoni Stadium in Norton. This match will signal the start of another exciting edition of Zimbabwe’s top knockout football competition.
The victor between Dynamos and Yadah will move on to face Simba Bhora in the first round proper, scheduled for Saturday, 9 August, at Wadzanayi Stadium.

Dynamos enter the competition as the reigning champions, aiming to extend their recent dominance after winning the title in both 2023 and 2024. These back-to-back triumphs marked a strong return to form for the Harare giants, who had gone nearly a decade without major domestic silverware prior to their recent success.
In the 2023 final, Dynamos defeated Ngezi Platinum Stars 2–0 at Baobab Stadium, a win that not only secured the cup but also earned them a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup. They retained the title in 2024 after another showdown with Ngezi Platinum, this time clinching victory via a penalty shootout.
Triangle United will face off against Kwekwe United in the second preliminary match, taking place on Thursday, 7 August, at Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane. The winner of that tie will go on to meet Ngezi Platinum Stars in the first round on Sunday, 10 August.
Elsewhere in the opening round, MWOS will host CAPS United at Ngoni Stadium on Saturday, 9 August. Also on that day, TelOne clash with Bikita Minerals at Ascot Stadium, while FC Platinum battle Manica Diamonds at Mandava.
Sunday, 10 August, will see Scottland face Greenfuel at Sakubva Stadium. Ngezi Platinum Stars will also be in action that day, taking on the winner between Triangle United and Kwekwe United.
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced changes to two first-round fixtures initially set for Nyamhunga Stadium on 11 and 12 August. Matches involving ZPC Kariba vs Chicken Inn and Herentals vs Highlanders have been postponed due to the stadium’s unavailability, as it will be used for Heroes Day commemorations in the Kariba District.
PSL Communications and Media Liaison Officer, Kudzai Bare, confirmed the adjustments on Monday, 4 August, stating that revised dates and venues will be shared once confirmed.
