Zimbabwe Among Africa's Top 10 Countries with Highest Diesel Prices in March 2025

In March 2025, Zimbabwe is ranked as one of the top 10 African countries with the highest diesel prices, according to a recent report by GlobalPetrolPrices.

Zimbabwe’s diesel price stands at $1.55 per litre, making it one of the more expensive nations for fuel in Africa. This increase is attributed to fluctuating currency values and high import duties, which continue to strain consumers and businesses alike.

The ongoing rise in fuel prices has led to increased operational costs, especially in industries like manufacturing, transport, and agriculture.

Businesses are likely to pass on these additional costs to consumers, contributing to inflation and reducing household purchasing power.

As of March 2025, the global average diesel price is $1.20 per litre. While some countries like the Central African Republic have seen a significant rise in fuel prices, others like Malawi, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe have experienced slight reductions.
