President Emmerson Mnangagwa has departed for Nairobi, Kenya, to attend the 24th COMESA (Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa) Heads of State and Government Summit.
The summit, held under the theme “Leveraging Digitalisation to Deepen Regional Value Chains for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth,” is expected to focus on strategies to strengthen regional economic integration through digital technologies.
Delegates will discuss measures to enhance trade, connectivity, and value addition within the bloc, with the aim of promoting sustainable and inclusive economic growth across Eastern and Southern Africa.
During President Mnangagwa’s working trip, Hon. General (Rtd.) Dr. CGDN Chiwenga will serve as Acting President of Zimbabwe.
