Palestinian Embassy Condemns Brutal Killing of Journalists in Gaza

The Embassy of the State of Palestine is deeply shocked and heartbroken by the tragic killing of two Palestinian journalists, Helmi Al-Faqaawi and Yousef al-Khazinda, alongside the horrific burning of journalist Ahmed Mansour, who was killed in an Israeli missile strike on the journalists’ tent at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza.

This violent attack is part of a larger, ongoing pattern of assaults on journalists covering the human rights violations in Gaza, bringing the total number of journalists killed by Israeli forces to over 210.

Ambassador Tamer Almassri strongly denounces the Israeli military’s deliberate and systematic targeting of Palestinian journalists.

Journalists Burnt Alive in Gaza

This is a clear effort to enforce a media blackout, preventing the global community from seeing the full extent of Israel’s violent actions against Palestinians.

The international community’s silence and failure to act in the face of these repeated assaults have allowed Israel to continue its deadly campaign with little to no accountability.

Ambassador Almassri underscores that the Israeli occupation continues to carry out acts of violence in Gaza without consequence due to the absence of international measures to deter these actions.

Despite numerous appeals for assistance from the State of Palestine, the world has remained largely silent about the Israeli atrocities.

The laws and agreements meant to protect human rights appear ineffective as Israel continues its violations against Palestinians in Gaza.

Fundamental rights such as the right to life, education, and healthcare are being stripped away, while Palestinians endure violence from Israeli military forces, including the use of banned chemical weapons.

The international community cannot afford to ignore Israel’s ongoing crimes. We call on all nations to uphold justice, human rights, and international law, and to take immediate steps to end Israel’s violations against the Palestinian people.

Ambassador Almassri emphasizes that the Palestinian people remain resolute in their struggle for self-determination and will continue to resist occupation and displacement. They will never surrender in the face of Israel’s apartheid and genocidal policies.
