Orlando Pirates Unveil Abdeslam Ouaddou as New Head Coach Ahead of 2025/26 Season

Orlando Pirates have ushered in a fresh chapter by appointing Abdeslam Ouaddou as the new head coach, officially succeeding Jose Riveiro, who departed shortly before the close of last season.

The announcement, which ends weeks of speculation, was made just days ahead of the team’s pre-season tour to Spain, where Ouaddou is set to take charge of the squad for the first time.

In an official statement released on Monday, the Soweto giants expressed their excitement at welcoming the Moroccan tactician to the club:

“Orlando Pirates Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Abdeslam Ouaddou as Head Coach. Bienvenue Abdeslam!”

The move signals a new direction for the Buccaneers as they prepare for the 2025/26 campaign with fresh leadership and high expectations.
