A picture was posted on facebook HERE on 1 June 2025 with a caption ‘30 people have been arrested for urinating at Trabablas Interchange’.
The same picture was posted on Zimbolive HERE news website claiming the same thing.
While the picture appears to have been taken at the Harare Magistrate Court the police have not yet released an official statement to support this claim.
Where is the picture originally from?
A google reverse image search HERE shows that the picture is originally from the Voice of America website where it is indicated that the picture was taken by Columbus Mavhunga on 18 June 2024 when 100 Citizens Coalition for Change activists were arrested for allegedly holding an unsanctioned meeting.
Conclusion
The picture posted on facebook claiming that 30 people were arrested for urinating at Trabablas interchange is an old picture of 100 Citizens Coalition for Change activists who were arrested for allegedly holding an unsanctioned meeting in 2024.
