DDF Boat Carrying 90 People Capsizes in Lake Kariba

A boat carrying around 90 people capsized in Lake Kariba while crossing to Chalala, Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have confirmed.

According to the ZRP, the DDF boat had 90 passengers and five crew members on board when the accident happened. The ferry was making the crossing to Chalala at the time of the incident.

Rescue efforts are currently underway. Emergency teams are on the scene working to assist those involved.

The ZRP said more details on the situation will be released in due course as rescue and recovery operations continue.
