Cynthia Labels Mai Jeremaya Case a 'Spiritual Battle', Points to Deception

Cynthia, a known associate of Mai Jeremaya’s husband, has broken her silence following the dismissal of rape charges against Thabo Blessing Dube and Martin Charlie — a case that has stirred public debate.

Speaking in an interview, Cynthia suggested the incident was more complex than it appeared, describing it as a case of “spiritual warfare” and referring to it as “a Jezebel spirit at work.” She believes the controversy may stem from a personal transaction that went awry.

The court recently ruled in favor of the two men accused, prompting strong and divided reactions across social media. While some sympathize with Mai Jeremaya and believe she was a victim of sexual assault, others argue that the situation may have been misrepresented due to unmet financial expectations.

Cynthia claims Mai Jeremaya was contacted to help promote a trucking business and left home around midday, not returning until after 8 p.m. that evening.

“When she got home, she told me she wasn’t okay and said she had been raped,” Cynthia said. “But her mood kept shifting, and her story didn’t stay consistent. That’s when I began to feel something was off.”

According to Cynthia, it’s possible that Mai Jeremaya was anticipating a larger payment from the engagement and, upon receiving less than expected, may have decided to report the incident as rape.

“My personal view is that it was a failed deal. She expected more money and was disappointed,” she added.

The case has ignited widespread discussion online, with some calling for justice and others accusing Mai Jeremaya of making false claims due to personal frustration or financial motives.
