Chipinge District has formally endorsed Dr Paul Tungwarara as its preferred candidate for the vacant ZANU PF Central Committee position after receiving official communication inviting nominations, Thezimbabwetimes.co.zw has established.
During a recent district meeting, Cde Angelina Gata put forward Dr Tungwarara’s name, a proposal that received unanimous approval from those in attendance.
The endorsement now advances to the Manicaland Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) inter-district meeting, where Chipinge District is expected to table Dr Tungwarara as its nominee.
The backing is seen as a significant boost to Dr Tungwarara’s campaign, which sources say is steadily gaining support across Manicaland Province.
Further details regarding the PCC meeting and subsequent processes are anticipated to be released in the coming days.
