Johannesburg, South Africa – Tsakane Matlala, wife of the controversial businessman Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala, has initiated criminal proceedings against prominent South African actress and media personality Tebogo Thobejane. The charges, formally lodged with the South African Police Service, encompass allegations of cyberbullying, defamation, intimidation, and online harassment.
According to documents filed, Tsakane Matlala asserts that Thobejane has persistently targeted her through social media platforms, disseminating posts that transcend mere criticism and constitute a concerted campaign of harassment. Within the criminal complaint, Tsakane Matlala alleges that Thobejane’s online pronouncements have explicitly labeled her a “killer” and have insinuated complicity in violent acts directed against the actress. Furthermore, the complaint suggests that Thobejane implied Tsakane Matlala celebrated a plot against her life. Adding to the claims of intimidation, Tsakane Matlala also states that Thobejane has been monitoring her movements during court appearances, intensifying the perceived harassment.
Tebogo Thobejane, widely recognized for her roles in popular television series such as *Muvhango* and *Diep City*, and as a prominent media personality, has previously been vocal about her legal disputes with the Matlalas.
