2025 PSL Season Kicks Off with Exciting Debuts and Rivalries
The 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) season will commence on Friday afternoon with Scottland, one of the league’s new teams, taking on Triangle at Rufaro Stadium in Harare. After acquiring several top local talents, Scottland is expected to make an impactful debut and aim for a victory in their first-ever top-flight match.
A highly anticipated clash in the opening weekend will take place at Wadzanayi Stadium in Shamva, where defending champions Simba Bhora will face FC Platinum. This game poses a significant challenge for Simba Bhora, especially after losing some key players to Scottland. FC Platinum, who managed to secure the only win at Wadzanayi last season, will be keen to maintain their strong form.
Other PSL newcomers will also be in action: Kwekwe United will host Ngezi Platinum Stars at Bata Stadium in Gweru, MWOS will face Highlanders at Baobab Stadium, and TelOne will travel to Herentals College.
Dynamos, fresh off their triumph in the 2025 Castle Challenge Cup, will take on their rivals ZPC Kariba at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
