Zimbabwe Kids & Teens Models Awards Set for December as Focus Shifts to Holistic Youth Development

The Zimbabwe Kids & Teens Models Awards 2025 will take place on December 20 at Harare Country Club, with organisers positioning the event as a platform that promotes holistic youth development beyond fashion and modelling.

Now in its fourth year, the awards are organised by MY Image Consultancy and were established in 2022 to recognise children and teenagers who demonstrate excellence not only in modelling, but also in academics, discipline, leadership, innovation and community service.

Organisers say the initiative responds to growing national conversations around youth empowerment and the need for structured platforms that nurture confidence, values and life skills among young people.

The 2025 edition will feature 80 nominees competing across 23 categories. The nominees include young models, performers, digital content creators and other emerging talents. About 150 guests — including parents, educators, mentors, creatives and community leaders — are expected to attend the event.

According to MY Image Consultancy, the awards are designed to move away from conventional modelling competitions by placing emphasis on character development and personal growth. In addition to runway presentations and award announcements, the programme will include storytelling segments that highlight the individual journeys of the nominees and the support systems behind their progress.

The categories span a wide range of achievements, including Academic Excellence Model of the Year, Most Disciplined Model of the Year and Outstanding Charity Project, alongside fashion, acting, pageantry and digital creation awards. Recognition will be given across age groups, from Baby and Toddler Model of the Year to Teen and International Young Star categories.

MY Image Consultancy said its work extends beyond the annual awards ceremony, focusing on grooming, mentorship and training programmes aimed at equipping children and teenagers with skills that build self-confidence, leadership capacity and positive identity.

As Zimbabwe continues to prioritise youth-focused development initiatives, organisers say the Zimbabwe Kids & Teens Models Awards has emerged as a value-driven platform that blends creativity with education and social responsibility, positioning young people for opportunities within and outside the creative sector.
