Outrage Erupts: Zanzou Nightclub Owner Faces Arrest Calls Over Brutal Abuse Scandal

There is mounting pressure for the arrest of the owner of Zanzou, a well-known nightclub in Pretoria, following alarming reports of violent mistreatment by the venue’s security personnel.

On Monday, disturbing videos surfaced on social media, allegedly showing bouncers at the club assaulting a group of young men. Some clips depict severe beatings, while others suggest victims were forced into degrading and inappropriate acts.

In response, Zanzou management released a statement acknowledging that a licensed security company had been contracted to manage safety at the establishment. They also pledged full cooperation with law enforcement and assured that those responsible would be held accountable.

Despite this, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have condemned the nightclub’s response, calling for additional legal action against its owner, Stephane Cohen. Cohen, according to his social media profiles, operates a dozen restaurants and nightclubs across Pretoria and Johannesburg.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident and plan to conduct a raid at Zanzou to gather further evidence.
