R50,000 Reward Offered for Information on Missing Journalist and Partner

Pretoria – The African Media and Communicators Forum, in collaboration with the National Press Club, has announced a R50,000 reward for information leading to the discovery of missing journalist Aserie Sibusiso Ndlovu and his partner Zodwa Precious Mdhluli.

The couple has been missing since February 18, and their home in Mpumalanga was ransacked before they disappeared. They were last seen leaving in a white Volkswagen Citi Golf.

Veteran forensic investigator Calvin Rafadi has joined the search effort, working closely with law enforcement to uncover any clues regarding the couple’s whereabouts. He noted that no ransom has been demanded, and there has been no activity on Ndlovu’s bank accounts, despite receiving a salary.

The disappearance has sparked widespread concern among journalists, with media professionals across South Africa calling for answers. Elijah Mhlanga, chairperson of the African Media and Communicators Forum, expressed growing unease, especially within the media community, as Ndlovu had been running a local radio station involved in various campaigns.

While the cause of the disappearance remains unclear, concerns have been raised about the potential link to Ndlovu’s journalistic work, with reports suggesting that he may have been targeted due to his investigation into certain business activities.

The search continues, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the police.
