Love Zimbabwe Festival Set for Highfield
Leading gospel musicians are set to headline the inaugural Love Zimbabwe Festival, scheduled to run from September 26 to 28 at the Zimbabwe Grounds in Highfield.
The event will feature Nigerian gospel singer Adah Ehi alongside local performers Michael Mahendere, Janet Manyowa, and Takesure Zamar Ncube.
The festival is being organised by American evangelists Andrew and Wendy Palau in partnership with the Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC), the Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe, and the Zimbabwe Catholic Bishops’ Conference. It comes after similar gatherings were held in Zambia and Kenya.
ZCC Secretary General Wilfred Dimingu said the festival seeks to promote unity across church denominations.
In preparation for the event, organisers have conducted several community outreach activities, including anti-drug campaigns in Chitungwiza, Mbare, and Glen View, as well as free eye-care services for vulnerable groups.
Festival founder Andrew Palau expressed confidence that the Zimbabwe edition would be successful, emphasising its twin focus on evangelism and community service.
