Kose Partners Unplugged to Offer Discounted Festival Rides

Local mobility company Kose has partnered with Unplugged as the festival’s exclusive transport partner, offering attendees half-price rides to and from the event.

The promotion will see the first 2,000 riders receive 50 percent off their Kose trips, with the discount capped at US$3 per journey.

Unplugged is scheduled for Saturday, 29 August 2026, at the First Capital Bank Sports Club. The festival will run from 12pm to 10pm.

Organisers said a dedicated Kose pick-up and drop-off point would be available at the venue to help festivalgoers connect with their rides before and after the event.

The transport arrangement is expected to give attendees a more convenient way to travel to the festival and return home after the event, while also supporting safer trip planning during the busy festival period.

Kose founder and technical architect Tirivashe Mundondo featured in the partnership announcement. The company, which is based in Harare, has positioned itself as a local technology platform offering ride-hailing alongside parcel delivery, food delivery and shopping services.

Its ride-hailing platform provides users with fare information before a trip is confirmed, as well as details of the assigned driver and vehicle. The service also includes trip tracking and safety features, according to the company’s website.

The partnership with Unplugged comes as Kose continues to build its presence in Zimbabwe’s competitive ride-hailing market. Technology publication Techzim reported earlier this month that the platform began as a ride-hailing and delivery service before expanding into additional services, including grocery, pharmacy and parcel delivery.

For Unplugged attendees, the promotion is available on a first-come, first-served basis. With eligibility limited to 2,000 riders, festivalgoers intending to use Kose have been encouraged to arrange their transport early.
