Dr Tungwarara shows loyalty, humility pending Central Committee appointment

Dr Paul Tungwarara has drawn praise within Zanu PF circles for his unwavering commitment to the party and his measured response to the recent reconsideration of his co‑option into the Manicaland Province Central Committee, set to be deliberated by Politburo.

Despite the setback of initial nullification by the party’s National Commissar, Dr Tungwarara travelled to help mobilise support in Nkulumane for the House of Assembly by‑election, where the party is backing its candidate, Hon Freedom Murechu.

The move, party insiders say, reflects both humility and discipline in respecting the organisation’s constitution.

The engagement, described as cordial and constructive, underscored Dr Tungwarara’s stance that party processes must take precedence over individual interests. “I believe the strength of our party lies in following our constitution and supporting each other, even when personal ambitions face delays,” Dr Tungwarara said.

His presence in Nkulumane Constituency alongside senior officials, where the party was mobilising support for Hon Freedom Murechu, further demonstrated his continued dedication to Zanu PF’s mobilisation efforts.

Party members who witnessed the interactions said Dr Tungwarara’s conduct showcased “maturity, loyalty, and an unshaken commitment to serve under the guidance of the party’s leadership,” even in the face of administrative decisions affecting his position.

As internal processes continue, observers say Dr Tungwarara’s approach has strengthened his standing as a disciplined cadre who puts the party’s constitution and unity first.
