Harare City Council officials have dispelled social media publications stating that the local authority is considering to introducing a 24 hour parking system in the city centre.
News websites had indicated that Harare City Council authorities are in deliberations to implement the 24-hour parking system.
Harare City Council spokesperson Mr Stanley Gama said they were no deliberations with other stakeholders in relation to the matter.
“Its not true, there are no engagements over the parking system. If developments are there Harare City Council will officially announce after consultations with residents, motorist and relevant stakeholders,” said Mr Gama.
Currently, motorists pay parking fees from 0800 hours to 1600 hours.
